Project All Sing 2014

Posted in News & Events

Calling all singers!

The ACJC Alumni Choir is proud to present Project All Sing! The idea is simple: gather people, especially those who have sung in choirs before, to sing together. We hope to encourage more people from all walks of life to continue singing in choral groups, and contribute to the vibrant choral scene in Singapore.

This year, we are excited to work with Finnish conductor Mari Koistinen and the Singapore International Choral Festival. If you would like to meet others in the local choral community, learn from a world-class musician, and perform for an international audience, come join us!

Mari Koistinen

Mari ThumbnailMari Koistinen is a lecturer in Music at Kuopio Senior High of Music and Dance. She also conducts the school’s choruses and Vox Polaris, a mixed choir based in Kuopio. A highly sought after clinician, Mari has been invited to run many workshops and courses around the world, including at our very own School of the Arts (SOTA) and Singapore Teacher’s Academy for the aRts (STAR).

The Singapore International Choral Festival

SICF LogoThe inaugural Singapore International Choral Festival will be held in August this year, and provides a platform for cultural exchange through choral excellence. Many choirs from around the world will meet in Singapore to compete and perform, and it promises to be a meaningful experience for all involved. This festival is kindly supported by the National Arts Council of Singapore.
